Tear Down Process

The process begins by removing all electrical and pneumatic controls, this includes all the wires and hoses. Next we completely disassemble the Powerpak Mechanical assemblies right down to its frame. The machine frame is then thoroughly pressure washed and a complete evaluation of frame and all the assembly components is performed. We discard all wear parts including bearings, bushings, transport chains, sprockets, pivot pins, spring, etc.

At this point a parts kit/component list is created, parts are ordered, the control panel requirements are reviewed, stainless sheet metal is fabricated, machine shop time and reassembly labor is scheduled.

Reassembly

Each sub-assembly is then completely rebuilt. All wear items are replaced with new parts that typically meet or exceed the OEM standards and tolerances. All parts used in our Remanufacturing process are made from Stainless Steel, UHMW or Aluminum. In addition, we include such improvements as grease fittings on all bearing flanges; all new stainless steel safety covers, stainless steel skin and 5/8” pitch Powerpak style transport chains on all our rebuilds. In each step of the remanufacturing process, the machine must pass a rigorous quality control inspection before it is allowed to enter into the final testing and qualification phase. All these steps are taken to help insure that with proper maintenance your machine will run reliably in your production for years to come.

Allen Bradley Compact Logics PLC Control System

All existing controls are replaced. The control panel will consist of a new Allen Bradley Compact Logics Industrial Programmable Logic Controller with Ethernet bridge including all necessary input and output modules, UL approved circuit breaker and overload protection.

The operating program has on-screen diagnostics for quick troubleshooting. Every type of product you produce can be named and stored with your ideal setting and package requirements.

Control of the machine functions are accomplished using an Allen Bradley Panel View 1000 Plus Color Touch Screen. This operator interface is mounted in a new panel that replaces the existing panel on the control head.

The standard program can be modified at no additional charge if you were to require a special application or additional peripheral devices on the equipment. The cost of our operating program is included in our system price. It is intended for the use of a single user and subject to the terms of our Disclosure Agreement

Allen Bradley Drive System

The existing drive motor and gearbox is replaced with an Allen Bradley Kinetix Series A.C. Servo Motor (with a built-in resolver) and a Sew Euro drive Precision Gear Box. The Kinetix Series Servo Amplifier communicates to the PLC via a Ethernet module which allows index lengths and speeds to be set at the operator interface panel.
